SEEKING AT-LARGE CANDIDATES FOR TOWN PLAZA SELECTION COMMITTEE

The Town Board for Boulder Junction is seeking four (4) members of the Boulder Junction community to
serve as At-Large members on the eight (8) person Selection Committee for our recently approved Phase 1
and Phase 2 portions of the Town Plaza Project. We will be taking self-nominated applications between
March 1st and March 15th. Nominations received after 15 March will not be considered. Your nominations
can be hand delivered to the Town Office during normal business hours, or via email to Dennis Duke at
d.duke@https://townofboulderjunction.org .
Your written self-nomination should include your full contact information, along with a short bio of your
experience & background, and a brief explanation of your interest. Your nomination should not exceed one
(1) typed page. Final selection of members for this committee will be made by the Town Chairman, using any
criteria he deems applicable for the goal of obtaining a diverse and capable group for the task at hand.
Selected nominees will be notified no later than 31 March, 2016, and the full committee list will be posted on
1 April, 2016.
The Selection Committee has two (2) objectives as outlined in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Town Plaza Project.
The Phase 1 objective will be to assess and rank the respondents to our Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The
committee will select and recommend 2 or 3 of the respondents to the Town Board for consideration of Phase
2 participation. Selected respondents will proceed to the Project Phase 2, Concept Design Request for
Proposal (RFP). The committee’s Phase 2 objective is to select and recommend the winning Design Concept
for the Town Plaza to the Town Board.
It is expected that this Committee will be empaneled between 1 April and 31 October. Members of the
Committee will be required to attend several committee meetings during this period, along with personal time
allocated to develop their independent assessments/rankings of the submittals in Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Additionally, it is envisioned that they may need to allocate time to support the Public Comment and Public
Hearing activities in Phase 2, expected to take place in August and September timeframe. Please take into
