April 17, 2007 Town Board Meeting

Town Board Meeting of April 17, 2007
Following 2006 Annual Meeting

Chairman Jeff Long called the meeting to order at 8 p.m.  Also
present were Supervisors Charlie Spencer and David Schuenemann and
Clerk/Treasurer Lois Smith.

MOTION/SCHUENEMANN:  SECOND/SPENCER:  To accept the agenda as
posted.
MOTION CARRIED.

The Treasurer’s Report for March was reviewed.  MOTION/SCHUENEMANN: 
SECOND/SPENCER:  To accept the report.  MOTION CARRIED.

The minutes of the March 27th board meeting were read.  MOTION/LONG: 
SECOND/SCHUENEMANN:  To approve the minutes as presented.  MOTION
CARRIED.  The minutes of the special board meeting of April 9th were
read.  MOTION/SCHUENEMANN:  SECOND/SPENCER:  To approve minutes as
presented.  MOTION CARRIED.  The minutes of the April 10th special
meeting were read.  MOTION/SPENCER:  SECOND/SCHUENAMANN:  To approve
the minutes as presented.  MOTION CARRIED.  The minutes of the April
12th special meeting were read.  MOTION/SPENCER:  SECOND/SCHUENEMANN: 
To approve minutes as presented.  MOTION CARRIED.

New Business:  Clerk Smith informed the board of the Board of Review
Training Sessions.  MOTION/LONG:  SECOND/SPENCER:  To  approve the
attendance of the supervisors at the Eagle River session on April 27th
and Clerk Smith to attend session on April 24th in Hurley.  MOTION
CARRIED.  Clerk Smith informed board of the WTA Town Officials
Workshop in Minocqua on May 16th.  MOTION/LONG:  SECOND/SPENCER:  To
allow attendance by Supervisors Spencer and Schuenemann and Clerk
Smith.  MOTION CARRIED.  

Correspondence:  Letter from Northwoods Insurance Associates, Inc.
requesting opportunity to again quote insurance premiums for the
2007-08 year. Thank you letter from taxpayer Ron Cochrane for the good
job of snow plowing by the town crew this past winter.  Request from
taxpayer Mary Schroeder to have Platium Lane road work done.
Letter from BJ Chamber of Commerce informing board of The Heart of
Vilas County Bike-In and Trail Dedication on Sunday June 3, 2007 at
Crystal Lake Campground.

Bills payable were approved in the amount of $29,247.57.
