April 18, 2006 Town Board Meeting
Town Board Meeting of April 18, 2006
Chairman Long called the meeting to order at 8:50 p.m. following the
2006 Annual Meeting. Also present were Supervisors Christgau and
Schuenemann, Clerk/Treasurer Lois Smith and guests: Julie
Schuenemann and Shelby Anderson, LL Times Reporter.

MOTION/CHRISTGAU: SECOND/SCHUENEMANN: To approve agenda as posted.
MOTION CARRIED.
The Treasurer’s Report was reviewed. Report will be tabled for
approval until the May 16, 2006 board meeting.
The minutes of the March 28, 2006 meeting were read.
MOTION/SCHUENEMANN: SECOND/CHRISTGAU: To approve the minutes as
presented. MOTION CARRIED.
OLD BUSINESS: Chairman Long gave an update on the Winterpark
Project. A letter from the DNR was read. The DNR approval for the
Land Use Agreement will not be approved until after meeting in May and
June. It is hoped the agreement will be approved by August or
September so work can commence on the project before winter sets in.
Chairman Long stated that he will hold a hearing on the project as
information is available, to keep the electors informed.
NEW BUSINESS: Due to increasing cost of road work, the Evergreen
Road project’s final seal coating of 3/8” rock will be postponed until
2007. Bidders will be informed of this change upon request of bid
information on the project.
A letter was received from the DNR and read regarding the public
notice of a stream reclassification to trout water. It is an unnamed
creek which is a small tributary to North Creek. The classification
recommendation is based upon fish surveys that were completed on the
waters. The public notice has been posted.
Committee Reports: Jay Christgau, Park Board Chairman stated a
meeting is scheduled for Wednesday May 3rd. The park improvements,
recreation summer program, baseball programs and restrooms will be on
the agenda. Mr. Ken Roeder will be returning to the park rec.
program again this year and will be attending the meeting. Also
discussed will be the McCormick donation and how it will be spent.
Correspondence: Letter and brochure from Mary House regarding
nuclear waste disposal in Wisconsin. Letter from Town of St. Germain
regarding a high speed internet provider for St. Germain residents
informational meeting on 4/24/06. Supervisor Jay Christgau will
contact them to see if it would be available to BJ residents.
Bills payable were approved in the amount of $31,043.66
