Notice of Municipal Revaluation in 2026 for the Town of Boulder Junction, Vilas County, Wisconsin
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Boulder Junction, Vilas County, Wisconsin (herein after “Town”) will be conducting a Town-wide revaluation for the 2026 tax year as required by state law. The Town will be undergoing a municipal-wide full revaluation of all taxable property under Wisconsin Statutes 70.05.
To ensure that an accurate revaluation is performed, it will be necessary for the assessment staff to conduct an on-site exterior review of all homes and commercial buildings within the Town limits as well as verbally confirm/update the interior data of your property. Assessment staff will begin during the winter, spring and summer of 2026.
Municipal Group, LLC, a private assessment firm from Stevens Point, WI, has been retained by the Town to complete the revaluation for the 2026 tax year. The revaluation will establish new assessed values in an equitable fashion for all properties in the Town at 100% of market value.
The new assessments will be completed in the summer of 2026, and all property owners will receive a written notice of assessment at that time. You will then have an opportunity to discuss the assessed values with Municipal Group staff members at the Open Book session. After the Open Book session, the Board of Review will conduct hearings to evaluate evidence concerning any final challenges to the assessed values.
