Vilas County is announcing a Public Information Meeting to discuss the proposed improvements
on County M from US 51 north to County N. The project is located in the Towns of Arbor Vitae
and Boulder Junction.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Boulder
Lake Room at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5392 Park St., Boulder Junction.
No formal presentations will be given. Exhibits and maps will be available for review, and project
representatives will be on hand to address any questions or concerns. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.
The project consists of pulverizing the existing pavement, relaying this material as base, adding
an asphalt overlay, and adjusting shoulders. The project will generic accutane online also include the reconstruction of
the County M and County N intersection to provide right-turn lanes and tapers that meet current
standards. New right of way is not anticipated to be required for the project. Construction is
scheduled for 2017.
County M will be closed to through traffic during construction. While the intersection is being
reconstructed, the detour route will be along US 51, County H, and County K. During the
remainder of the project, the detour route will be along US 51 and CTH N. Local access will be
maintained throughout construction. County N traffic will experience daytime single-lane
closures controlled by flaggers.
